HKBU has recently launched BUhub, an interactive online platform that seamlessly connects students, alumni, employers, mentors and staff. It also solicits support from the University community for graduates in their career development amid the difficult conditions of the current economic downturn.

BUhub integrates job vacancies advertised in five popular job portals and the Joint Institutions Job Information System, and provides links to six job searching websites. The platform opens up more than 30,000 job vacancies and 2,000 internship opportunities provided by local, Mainland China and overseas employers to students and fresh graduates.

The platform provides a directory that allows users to search through a talent pool of HKBU members and buddies. It also encourages users to form groups focusing on a variety topics to help them build their own networks and to register as mentors and mentees.

Dr Albert Chau, Vice-President (Teaching and Learning) of HKBU, said that BUhub is a new initiative serving the University community and one that helps graduates to meet the unprecedented challenges posed by the  COVID-19 outbreak.

Dr Melanie Lee, Director of Alumni Affairs, welcomes members of HKBU, mentors and employers to interact on the platform.
