HKBU establishes Alumni Association of the Greater Bay Area in Shenzhen

The HKBU Alumni Association of the Greater Bay Area (GBAAA) was established in Shenzhen on 11 January to strengthen the bond between alumni in the Greater Bay Area and their alma mater, and to enhance the positive impact of the alumni community in the area. The Greater Bay Area Alumni IT Expo was held on the same day.
At the GBAAA Inauguration Ceremony cum the Greater Bay Area Alumni IT Expo, President Professor Roland T Chin highlighted the achievements of HKBU alumni and shared with participants the latest developments of the University. Dr Vincent Ho, Founding President of GBAAA, said that the Association will recruit alumni from the Greater Bay Area, and gather talent to enhance the impact of HKBU through several initiatives. This will include the organisation of elite alumni gatherings and support for enterprises set up by alumni.
Mr Luo Hao, representative of the Department of Educational, Scientific and Technological Affairs, the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR; Dr Lan Xin, Assistant to the Secretary of the Shenzhen Nanshan Technology Bureau; Ms Rosanna Choi, Treasurer of the HKBU Council and Court; Dr Albert Chau, HKBU Vice-President (Teaching and Learning); Mr CK Yeung, HKBU Associate Vice-President (Engagement) and around 150 alumni and guests joined the event.
