Sino-Humanitas, an academic journal published by the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, was recently ranked as a Tier-1 journal in Chinese literature and included in the Taiwan Humanities Citation Index (THCI) as part of the Taiwan Humanities and Social Sciences Journals Evaluation 2015-17.

The bi-annual Sino-Humanitas is the only Hong Kong-based academic journal in the field that has achieved Tier-1 status. It was launched in 1994 with the aim of promoting academic research in Chinese literature, history, philosophy and the arts. It adopts an internationally accepted anonymous peer review system to maintain its high standards.

The Evaluation was organised by the Research Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences, which is part of the Ministry of Science and Technology in Taiwan.
