HKBU ranks 60th in the global University Impact Rankings

HKBU is ranked 60th in the world in the Times Higher Education’s newest World University Impact Rankings 2019 that assesses the social and economic impact of world universities based on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
Also newly announced in a separate international ranking that measures global universities’ excellence in computer science, HKBU is ranked within the top 50 in both “Artificial Intelligence” and “Databases.”
The Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings is the world’s first global attempt to document evidence of universities’ impact on society, rather than just research and teaching performance.  HKBU came in 60th amongst more than 450 universities from 76 countries. In the computer science ranking CSRankings 2018 that ranks the top computer science institutions around the world based on the number of publications produced by faculty members, HKBU is ranked 42nd and 47th in AI and “Databases” respectively. Please click here for further details.
