HKBU has signed a global partnership agreement with the Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (SCET) of the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley) with the aim of facilitating academic collaboration, faculty and student exchange as well as information sharing in the areas of entrepreneurship and technology. HKBU is among the 10 Global Alliance Partners of UC Berkeley’s SCET.

To encourage immersive learning for new venture creation, the Knowledge Transfer Office recently organised a three-day entrepreneurship bootcamp on campus. Eleven UC Berkeley students and 29 HKBU students shared and exchanged their creative business ideas through an array of comprehensive activities such as interactive discussions, lectures, practical workshops and game sessions.

Professor Ikhlaq Sidhu and Ms Gigi Wang, two veteran entrepreneurship consultants from UC Berkeley’s SCET, were invited to share their profound knowledge with the students at the bootcamp.
