LinkedIn's Most Engaging Employer Brand Award

HKBU received the Most Engaging Employer Brand Award at the LinkedIn Annual Ceremony "20/20 Vision" held on 10 December 2020. The University is the only winner of this Award in Hong Kong’s  higher education sector. 
 
The University won the award for implementing branding strategies and projects that enable the HKBU employer brand to become the top choice in the higher education sector. The University is also commended for striving to differentiate itself from its counterparts by generating extensive engagements.
 
During the presentation ceremony, LinkedIn shared that nowadays the metrics of branding have been boiled down to engagements and followings.  These cover the number of followers, the number of employees, and the number of posts shared as well as the engagement percentage. HKBU has made good use of the LinkedIn professional networking platform to build up its unique brand image and attract academic talents from around the world.

Kudos goes to LinkedIn for their support as well as to our colleagues who have put tremendous effort into driving the branding initiatives to bring our “Talent100” academic staff recruitment campaign to a broader landscape.” said Ms Jennifer Leung, Director of Personnel at HKBU.
 
Ms Winnie Lam, Director of Communication and Public Relations, said: “Over the years, we have been making use of LinkedIn to share knowledge and topics of interest with the academic community, professionals and students. In 2019, we further made use of the platform to enhance our overall brand image and help our "Talent100" academic staff recruitment. With tremendous support from the LinkedIn team, the “Talent100” advertising campaign turned out to be a success with abundant exposure and engagements, resulting in a stable organic growth of followers.”
