A University delegation led by President Roland Chin visited six renowned universities and colleges in North America from late February to early March and met with alumni there to celebrate HKBU’s 60th Anniversary.

The delegation visited the University of Southern California, Pomona College, Claremont McKenna College, Stanford University and University of San Francisco in the US and also Simon Fraser University in Canada, to study and learn from their experience in providing liberal arts education as well as to explore collaboration opportunities.

They also attended dinners organised by HKBU Southern California Alumni Association in Los Angeles and HKBU British Columbia Alumni Association in Vancouver to commemorate the University’s diamond jubilee with over 100 alumni.

Members of the delegation included Professor Franklin Luk, Vice-President (Academic); Professor Rick Wong, Vice-President (Research and Development); Professor Emilie Yeh, Director of Academy of Film of the School of Communication; Mr Peter Li, Director of International Office; Professor Reza Hoshmand, Director of General Education and Dr Melanie Lee, Director of Alumni Affairs.
