A total of 100 young aspiring entrepreneurs from HKBU, the University of Oxford, the University of California at Berkeley, Nanjing University, Fudan University, Jiao Tong University and the South China University of Technology joined the HKBU Entrepreneurship Bootcamp 2019 from 24 to 27 May.

During the four-day holistic entrepreneurship training programme – which was organised by the Knowledge Transfer Office – participants pitched ideas, attended sessions that weaved together lectures and interactive game-based exercises conducted by UC Berkeley entrepreneurship consultants, and received one-on-one mentoring from industry experts. Over 10 speakers, as well as 20 mentors, were invited to offer inspirational talks and business guidance to participants.

The opening ceremony was officiated by Dr David Chung, Under Secretary for Innovation and Technology of the HKSAR Government; Mr Stephen Liang, Assistant Executive Director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council; and Dr Clement Chen, Chairman of HKBU Council and the Court.
