The School of Communication’s Department of Journalism and The Centre for Excellence in Media Practice (CEMP) at Bournemouth University, UK co-organised the Media Education Summit from 1 to 2 November. Topics discussed at the event included media education, media and digital literacy, and media/technology in education.

 

The two-day Summit was co-chaired by Professor Alice Lee, Head of the Department and Professor Julian McDougall, Head of CEMP. In addition to six keynote speeches, the Summit also included a forum, two conversations and 21 panels. Attendees included more than 100 renowned scholars, researchers, educators and students from Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom, the United States, Europe, and Russia.
