The Early Childhood and Elementary Education Division (ECEED) of the School of Continuing Education was commissioned by the Education Bureau to develop two resource packages for the Kindergarten Education Resource Centres with the theme of “Countryside Adventure” and “Wetland Footprints”.

To enhance the quality of kindergarten education, the HKSAR Government launched the Kindergarten Education Scheme in 2017-18. In response to the scheme, the Education Bureau, in collaboration with the Agricultural, Fisheries and Conservation Department, set up Kindergarten Education Resource Centres at the Lions Nature Education Centre and the Hong Kong Wetland Park.

Dr Amelia Lee, Head of ECEED, encouraged teachers to use the resource packages flexibly and bring their pupils to country parks and wetland parks to explore, so that children will learn to love nature, cherish food and respect life, and all these things help to cultivate children’s positive values at an early age.
