HKBU alumnus Mr William Yeung, Co-Owner & Executive Vice-Chairman of HKBN Group, shared how he found the keys to success through his personal endeavours, how he always prepares for the fast-changing telecommunications industry, and how to grow, innovate and improve key skills and mindsets at the online SEED Talk entitled “5Ps – Prior Preparation Prevents Poor Performance” on 24 July.

Mr Yeung emphasised that opportunity favours a prepared mind, and that young people should always make an extra effort with their innovative thinking to achieve outstanding results. He encouraged students to stay positive and take actions to realise their goals. To better prepare for their future career, students should strive for internship opportunities as they are vital for self-improvement. Mr Yeung also shared his belief that being considerate of others will eventually be rewarded.

Moderated by Dr Clara Kan, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Marketing and Programme Director of the MSc in Entrepreneurship and Global Marketing, Mr Yeung spoke with Owen Chan and Edward Ho, two School of Business graduates who are currently working at HKBN on the “Tough Times Together - Career Kickstarter for Graduates” programme. Mr Yeung also answered questions from the online audience. Please click here to review the talk.
