The College of International Education (CIE) of HKBU signed a collaboration agreement with The Association of Hong Kong Chinese Middle Schools (HKCMS) on 13 June, with the aim of providing diversified articulation pathways to secondary school students by offering a Seamless four-year Admission Scheme and scholarships to candidates nominated by the member schools of HKCMS.
Professor Ronald Chung, Dean of the School of Continuing Education (SCE), HKBU, and Principal Liang Kwun-fan, President of HKCMS, signed the collaboration agreement on behalf of the two parties. Attending guests included Dr Liang Man-yu, Acting Director of CIE, Principal Yau Kit-ying, Vice-President of HKCMS, and the delegation of the Association.
Professor Ronald Chung said,“SCE has strived to provide high quality education to society for over 40 years and the Associate Degree programmes offered by CIE are an integral part of the School. All along, great efforts have been made to enhance articulation opportunities through various means, such as self-funded undergraduate programmes with various HKBU faculties/schools. By offering a Seamless four-year Admission Scheme and scholarships, it is hoped that secondary school students would be encouraged to choose their study paths based on their own interests and abilities. We will continue to work closely together to nurture youngsters into competent individuals.”
