Mr Steven Lam, co-founder and CEO of GOGOVAN, shared his entrepreneurial journey and the story of how he established the first app-based logistics platform in Asia at an online SEED Talk entitled “Strive Under The Storm” on 12 June.

In Steven’s view, every entrepreneur faces adversity every day. As long as the business idea is new, there will not be any precedent for entrepreneurs to follow and they have to rack their brains to find solutions. Nonetheless, he enjoys tackling new challenges and likens it to playing a puzzle game. As a talent seeker, Steven also shared job seeking tips for fresh graduates and discussed how he made the right hires in the candidate-rich market.

Moderated by Mr Simon So, Associate Director of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre at HKBU, Steven had a dialogue with Eve Liu, a Business Administration (Entrepreneurship Concentration) student, and Esther Chau, a Business Administration (Human Resources Management Concentration) student. Both students have joined GOGOVAN as interns and enjoyed learning from Steven. Steven also answered questions from the online audience. The talk can be viewed here.
