The “HKBU．Tibet 5100 Golf Day 2019” has successfully raised HK$2.18 million for the University’s 10-year Institutional Strategic Plan. The annual event held at the Eden Course of The Hong Kong Golf Club in Fanling on 8 November was attended by around 200 participants, with 140 of them forming 35 teams to compete for 27 awards. 

After several rounds of vigorous competition, Elite Team won the overall championship and HKBUAA–NW1 Team captured the Alumni Cup. In the individual contest, Dr Lobo Louie, an Associate Professor from the Department of Sport and Physical Education, claimed the Net Score championship. 

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the HKBU Foundation and to secure more resources for the University, a charity auction of fine red wines was also held. 

Since 2004, the Golf Day has raised a total of more than HK$18 million.
