In collaboration with Goethe-Institut Hongkong, the HKBU Library is hosting an exhibition entitled “A House United: the latest comics and graphic novels in German”.

Germany may not have a strong tradition of comics as France, the US and Japan, but the creative works of a dynamic generation of artists have transformed the scene of German comics and graphic novels in recent years.  The exhibition brings together some of the best works of German comics covering different genres, including literary adaptations, (auto)biographies and contemporary tales, fictional everyday dramas, and humorous comic strips.

One section of the exhibition features screenings of short films selected for the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film 2016. The exhibition which runs until 20 October 2017 invites audiences to take a journey of visual discovery through the magical world of imaginative stories.

Details of the exhibition can be found at http://hkbu.libguides.com/exhibitions/ahouseunited.
