HKBU receives HK$15 million donation to establish new NeuroRegeneration Sciences Centre

HKBU has received a donation pledge of HK$15 million from Mr Kam Yuen, Chairman of Golden Meditech Holdings Limited, for the establishment of the Golden Meditech Centre for NeuroRegeneration Sciences. The Centre will support research related to autologous neural stem cell therapy, and other cell therapies that can potentially treat neurodegenerative and other incurable diseases.

 

An agreement signing ceremony was held on 20 November 2018. It was officiated by Mr Kam Yuen; Mr Cheng Yan-kee, Chairman of the Council and Court of HKBU; Dr Kennedy Wong, Chairman of the HKBU Foundation; Professor Rick Wong, HKBU Vice-President (Research and Development); and Professor Zhang Jianhua, Dean of Science.
