About 150 principals and teachers from over 80 secondary schools took part in the 13th HKBU Secondary School Principals’ Day organised by the Academic Registry yesterday (28 January 2015). With the theme of “Future Leaders 2020”, the event sought to enhance the discussion between the secondary school sector and the University on the attributes of a future leader and how educators could unleash the potential of students and groom them for roles as future leaders.

At a plenary session, Dr Leung Wing-tai, General Secretary of Breakthrough Ltd gave a keynote speech while three elite HKBU alumni who excel in different disciplines shared how they applied their learning experiences at the University for personal development, which equipped them for their roles as young leaders of today.

After the plenary session, participants joined parallel seminars offered by Faculties/Schools/Academy. They also took the opportunity to tour HKBU’s campuses, with stops at the University Library, the Communication and Visual Arts Building, the School of Chinese Medicine, the Academy of Visual Arts and the College of International Education.
