Lion Rock Poetry Reading offers impressive tastes of Hong Kong

The Lion Rock Poetry Reading 2014, organised by the Language Centre of the Faculty of Arts, was held last Saturday (1 March). Focusing on the “Impressive Taste of Hong Kong”, the event brought together poetry and local food to offer the audience a fresh perspective from which to get to know more about their city. 

About 200 people attended the gathering, including secondary and tertiary students. Participating poets included Dr. Wong Leung-wo, Dr. Ng Mei-kwan, Mr. Chow Hon-fai, Dr. Woo Kwok-yin, Ms. Wu Yin-ching, Ms. Chan Siu-hung, Mr. Yip Fai, Mr. Lau Wai-shing, Mr. Chung Kwok-keung and renowned dancer Ms. Mui Cheuk-yin. Ms. Wu Yin-ching, Associate Professor of the Language Centre, also spoke on “An open bitter-melon”.
