School of Business celebrates its 65th anniversary

September 2021 marked the 65th anniversary of the School of Business. Around 200 alumni, students and staff members attended a kick-off reception on 26 October to commence the School’s 65th anniversary celebrations.

 

Professor Alexander Wai, President and Vice-Chancellor, was the guest of honour at the reception. He commended the School for its academic development and thanked the alumni for their continuous support of the School and the University. 

 

Professor Ed Snape, Dean of the School of Business, shared in his welcome remarks that whole-person education, social responsibility, and a people-centred caring culture are the core principles of the School. He also said that the School will collaborate closely with the wider community to contribute to education and knowledge creation, and fulfil its mission of nurturing responsible and visionary future leaders.

 

Many of the alumni who attended the ceremony are respected business leaders, including HKBU Honorary University Fellows Mr Dickson Shang, Mr Alfred Tang and Mr Wong Nga-chung. They shared their joy and happiness in seeing their alma mater scale new heights.
