The School of Business organised its Information Day for 2013 JUPAS Admission on Saturday (18 May) to enable secondary students to learn more about the undergraduate programmes offered by the School as well as university life on campus.

A series of seminars was arranged on that day introducing the salient features of the seven concentrations offered by the programme (Accounting, Applied Economics, Finance, Global and China Business, Human Resource Management, Information Systems and e-Business Management, and Marketing). Admission requirements, scholarship details, student development activities and interview skills were also shared at the seminars to help prospective students better prepare for the admission interview in June.

The School of Business adopted the broad-based admission system in 2008, making it one of the pioneers in Hong Kong. To accommodate new students under the four-year curriculum in 2012 and cater to their concentration preferences, the School adopted flexible arrangements in the admission process.

The four-year degree programmes incorporate elements of business ethics, service-learning and corporate social responsibility, which align with the School’s vision, mission and strategic theme. Besides, students under the new curriculum have the option of graduating with a double concentration. The School has also established the Young Executive Development Scheme, aiming to nurture students and train them to be all-round business leaders.
