School of Continuing Education hosts international conference on active living and health

The Multi-disciplinary Research Centre, which is part of the School of Continuing Education, jointly hosted the 2018 International Conference on Active Living and Health with the Department of Sport and Physical Education, as well as the Dr Stephen Hui Research Centre for Physical Recreation and Wellness. The event, which took place on the Shek Mun Campus, attracted over 260 scholars, researchers, students and industry practitioners.
There were 60 paper and poster presentations on a wide variety of themes, such as physical activity and cognition, sleep and mental well-being, weight management and obesity, physical activity and quality of life in older adults, and physical activity in patients and special populations. The conference also featured a narrative review and meta-analysis in health promotion.
