The University’s Tsuen Wan Campus (TWC) was officially opened today. Officiating at the Opening Ceremony were Chairman of the Council and the Court Dr Clement Chen, Treasurer of the Council and the Court Ms Rosanna Choi, President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Roland Chin, and the landlord’s representatives, Dr Chu Nan-shyan and Ms Sophia Ma.

 

The TWC is located at Riviera Gardens and has a net operating floor area of 2,700 square metres. Currently, the TWC houses colleagues from the Estates Office, Finance Office, Printing Section of the General Administration Office, and Information Systems Section of the Office of Information Technology. Colleagues from some of the research centres will be relocated at a later date.

 

To support the implementation of the University’s Institutional Strategic Plan 2018-2028 (ISP), the Council has approved the lease of the TWC for a period of 12 years to meet the University’s decanting space needs for the first phase of the proposed redevelopment of the Ho Sin Hang Campus and the University’s medium-term development needs under the ISP.
