Chinese Medicine student wins outstanding oral presentation award at international symposium

School of Chinese Medicine MPhil student Robert Parcus won the “Outstanding Oral Presentation” award for his presentation entitled “New Approaches for Tongue Image Collection, Analysis and Applications” at the 13th International Postgraduate Symposium on Chinese Medicine held on 17 August in Hong Kong.
His winning presentation described the development of a mobile application that can be useful for fast and reliable collection of tongue images needed for traditional Chinese Medicine.
Parcus was very pleased to have won. He thanked the organisers and supporting organisations for promoting exchange among international postgraduate students in Chinese medicine.
Organised by universities in Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore, the Symposium provided postgraduate students with an opportunity to share their research on Chinese medicine with professional peers. It was held as a breakout session of the annual International Conference of the Modernisation of Chinese Medicine and Health Products.
