Creative Writing students grab bronze prize at prestigious advertising awards
04 Jan 2019
Creative and Professional Writing year four students Yang Yidong and Li Tak recently won the Bronze Award in the Student Division of the Kam Fan Awards 2018, which was organised by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies of Hong Kong.
The winning team developed an advertising campaign, titled “Untie the Knots”, which aimed to help people who suffer from depression. The ad used the idea of tangled and knotted shoelaces to symbolise the feelings of people who suffer from depression, as sometimes those affected cannot untie the knots by themselves, but their problems can be solved if others give them a helping hand.
