The Hong Kong Jockey Club recently presented scholarships to five HKBU students in recognition of their brilliant academic performance and commitment to the community.

The five HKBU winners of this year’s scholarship scheme were Lai Chui-yan (Marketing, Year 2), Wang Yunan (European Studies, Year 2), Chan Shing-yeuk (Government and International Studies, Year 2), Ip Wing-ting (China Studies, Year 2), and Ng Yeuk-shu (double degree in English Language and Literature and Education).

This year, there were 50 scholarship recipients (44 undergraduates and six postgraduates) who are studying at the eight University Grants Committee-funded tertiary institutions and The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Since the Scheme’s establishment in 1998, a total of 64 HKBU students have received a scholarship from The Hong Kong Jockey Club, totaling around HK$19.2 million.
