The HKBU Athletics Team retained the Overall Championship title at the 59th Annual Athletic Meet held by The University Sports Federation of Hong Kong (USFHK) at the Joint Sports Centre on 11 & 25 April. The HKBU team won a total of 11 gold medals, and they came first in both the overall men’s and women’s categories.

HKBU student athletes put in some remarkable performances, and the men’s team won the Shot Put, 100 m, 200 m, 400 m Hurdle, 1500 m, 5000 m and 4 x 100 m Relay, while the women’s team came top in the Javelin, Shot Put, 100 m Hurdle and 4 x 400 m Relay. 

Among the gold medalists, the HKBU women’s 4 x 400 m relay team broke the USFHK record. Sit Wai-lok, To Yuen-kwan and Wong Tsz-to also shattered USFHK’s records in the men’s shot put, women’s shot put and men’s 1500 m respectively.
