HKBU presents Long Service Award at 60th Founders’ Day Thanksgiving Service

Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) held its 60th Founders’ Day Thanksgiving Service today (8 March) with Professor Herbert Tsang, Emeritus Professor and former Academic Vice-President of Hong Kong Baptist University, as the guest speaker. 

 

At the Service, Mr Cheng Yan-kee, Chairman of HKBU Council and the Court, and Professor Roland Chin, HKBU President and Vice-Chancellor, presented Long Service Awards to 253 staff in recognition of their dedicated service to the University over the years.

 

The recipients of the 35-year Long Service Award are Professor Chan Wing-hong of the Department of Chemistry; Professor Harris Cheung Nai-ho of the Department of Physics; Ms Claudia Chui Mei-yee of the Department of Mathematics; and Ms Mitra Li Yuk-lin of the School of Social Sciences. This year, a total of 151 colleagues received the award for 10 or 15 years of service, 65 colleagues for their 20 years of service, 30 colleagues for their 25 years of service, and seven colleagues in total for their 30 and 35 years of service.
