Two HKBU academics have been elected to the Hong Kong Academy of the Humanities as Fellows, recognising their long-term contributions to teaching and research in the field of arts and humanities studies.

The elected Fellows are Professor Clayton MacKenzie, Provost, and Professor Jalal Toufic, a Professor from the Department of Humanities and Creative Writing.

Meanwhile, Dr Dorothy Tse, an Assistant Professor from the Department of Humanities and Creative Writing, has been inducted as a Junior Fellow.

The Academy aims to foster and advance knowledge of the humanities in Hong Kong, support and promote scholarship and research in the arts and humanities, and assist Hong Kong humanists in scholarly engagement and collaboration in Asia and other international communities.
