A total of 198 students from the Associate Degree programme, Self-funded Undergraduate programme and Higher Diploma in Early Childhood Education programme were awarded a total of $3.88 million in scholarships under the Self-financing Post-Secondary Scholarship Scheme of the Education Bureau.

Chow Tsz-ho (BA in Music Studies, Year 3), who was awarded the Talent Development Scholarship, was selected to share his study path and learning experience with the media at the Joint Scholarship Presentation Ceremony held on 11 April. Tsz-ho said he would like to become a professional orchestral violinist and contribute to society by forming a youth orchestra for children from low-income families. He also shared the winding road his studies have taken hoping to encourage other students to aim for what they want to do and never give up.

Out of the 198 students, 84 students received the Outstanding Performance Scholarship and 23 students received the Best Progress Award. In addition, 30 students were awarded the newly established Talent Development Scholarship and 61 the Reaching Out Award.
