HKBU students achieve excellent results at Asian Games in Indonesia 

 

Sarah Lee (Creative and Professional Writing, Year 3), who is currently ranked first in UCI Women Elite Keirin Ranking, won two gold medals in the sprint and keirin categories of the Asian Games cycling event and one silver medal in the team sprint. Chan Ho-ling (Physical Education and Recreation Management, Year 3) clinched a gold medal in the women’s squash team event. Max Lee (Physical Education and Recreation Management, Year 1) won silver medals in the men’s squash team and individual events while Low Ho-tin (Physical Education and Recreation Management, Year 4) clinched two bronze medals in the individual and team events in the fencing sabre categories while Cyrus Chang (Physical Education and Recreation Management, Year 4) earned a bronze medal in the team sabre. 

 

Other Physical Education and Recreation Management students performed to their utmost at the Games, gaining valuable experience. They included Cham Ching-man (football), Poon Pak-yan (rugby sevens), Chan Chung-wang (110m hurdles), Chan Hoi-lam, Pang Tsz-ching and Cheung Ka-wing (synchronised swimming), Chu Kai-ching (Taekwondo), Elizabeth Chan (vault apparatus) and Chim Wing-lam (volleyball).
