A team comprising HKBU students Tsui Yee-ting (Jewellery Design and Visual Merchandising, School of Continuing Education) and Chow Yim-ching (Associate Degree) won the first prize in the tertiary institutions/open category at the ninth Hong Kong Creative Drama Festival.

The winning team used the title “Hong Kong lifestyles: turn night into day”, which according to the judges, highlighted the competition’s theme of “the place we grow up”. The team’s performance truly reflected most Hong Kong people’s habits and resonated strongly with the audience.

Another team involving HKBU master’s students Liu Fenglin and Liu Xiaojie (Literature and Comparative Studies) came in third place. Other participating teams formed by HKBU students scooped a total of seven Outstanding Awards, as well as a Merit and a Proficient Award.

The Hong Kong Creative Drama Festival was organised by the Centre of Holistic Teaching and Learning of HKBU and sponsored by the Tin Ka Ping Foundation. This year, more than 80 teams participated in the Festival.
