The HKBU student teams won the championship and first runner-up titles in the Tertiary Student Relay category of the SHKP Vertical Run for Charity—Race to Hong Kong ICC.

The team that was crowned champion comprised Lau Tsun-ling (Physical Education and Recreation Management, Year 4), Chan Wai-chung and Yeung Hoi-chun (Sport and Recreation Leadership, Year 2) and Tse Chun-yin (Associate degree, Year 2). The team that claimed the first runner-up title comprised Jack Ng (Diploma of College Foundation Studies), Macro Lee (Accounting, Year 3), Yeung Lok-hei (Associate degree, Year 2), Christopher Kolbeck (Business Administration, Year 4) and Chung Chin-tong (Associate degree, Year 1).

Tsun-ling said that they were quite confident about winning the competition again as they had accumulated experience in competitions and devoted themselves to a comprehensive training programme. As participants have to run up the greatest number of floors in a Hong Kong competition, he suggested the team to focus on building up their stamina.
