Journalism students and graduates scoop 13 Campus Newspaper Awards

Eighteen students and alumni of the HKBU Department of Journalism won a total of 13 awards at the 2019 Campus Newspaper Awards hosted by the China Daily Hong Kong Edition. The number of prizes garnered by HKBU students and alumni was the second-highest among the 50 universities from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and the Mainland, reflecting their outstanding performance at the Awards.

 

The media outlets run by Journalism students, namely  The Young Reporter, The Young Financial Post and the Broadcast News Network, shone in many of the award categories, including the Best in News Video Reporting (Chinese Category), Best in News Reporting (English Category), Best in Features Video Reporting (English Category), and Best in Business News Reporting (English Category).
