Physical Education student wins harbour race
09 Nov 2017
Keith Sin (Physical Education and Recreation Management, Year 1) completed the New World Harbour Race in 11 minutes, the fastest result among nearly 3,000 competitors, and won the championship in the Men Open (A).
Keith was satisfied with his performance in the race, which he considered challenging. He said that there were many changes to this year’s race, such as the new route from Tsim Sha Tsui to Wanchai and a shorter race distance by 500 metres, which meant more swimmers were able to join the race and led to increased competition. To prepare, Keith took a ferry ride for a site visit to learn more about the race venue. This helped ensure his best performance during the competition.
Keith won the championship title three times in four years. He will continue to work hard for the race next year, with the aim of clinching the top title for the third consecutive year.
