SCM research team wins international award for contribution to Chinese medicine

Professor Bian Zhaoxiang, Director of the Clinical Division of the School of Chinese Medicine, and his research team received 2nd prize in the International Award for Contribution to Chinese Medicine—Achievement Award in Medical Science from the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies. The award was for the research project entitled “Study on Key Problems of Chinese Herbal Formula MaZiRenWan (MZRW) for Functional Constipation”.  

 

The project, a collaboration with The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Dongzhimen Hospital of the Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, involves several phases of joint clinical trials to prove the efficacy and safety of MZRW in treating functional constipation by way of Chinese and Western medicine’s syndrome evaluation.
