Social Sciences student awarded Bank of China (Hong Kong) Scholarship for Outstanding Student in Chinese History

Wu Hang-yee, a year one student of the Faculty of Social Sciences, is one of the ten recipients of the Bank of China (Hong Kong) Scholarship for Outstanding Student in Chinese History from local universities. Having achieved an outstanding DSE result in Chinese History, she was nominated by the Department of History to compete for the Scholarship.


Hang-yee and Professor Clara Ho, Head of the Department of History, attended the award presentation ceremony at the Bank of China Tower in Central on 22 December 2021. Hang-yee said that she was delighted to receive the award. She is eager to select History as her major with a particular focus on Chinese History.  


Managed by Endeavour Education Centre Limited and donated by Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited, the Scholarship seeks to encourage more students to take History as their major, and it also aims to stimulate their interest in studying Chinese History. Freshmen who have obtained 5** in the DSE Chinese History subject are eligible to apply. Each awardee will receive a scholarship of HK$50,000.
