Carol Li (Faculty of Social Sciences, Year 1), with her outstanding DSE result in Chinese History, was successfully selected as one of the 10 awardees from local universities and was awarded the Bank of China (Hong Kong) Scholarship for Outstanding Student in Chinese History.
 
Carol, who is studying the five-year Double Degree Programme in the Faculty of Social Sciences, was nominated by the Department of History for this award. She said that she is pleased to be awarded the Scholarship and is inspired to pursue further studies in History. 
 
The Scholarship seeks to encourage more students to take Chinese History in secondary school and to stimulate their interest in studying Chinese History so that they can learn more about China’s development. Freshmen who obtained 5** in DSE Chinese History are eligible to be nominated by their university/department or to apply on their own. Each awardee will receive a total amount of HK$50,000.
