Three alumni honoured with Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence

Mr Donald Chung, a recent graduate of the Department of Chemistry, and Mr Lee Yat-hei and Miss Yan Ka-yiu, graduates of the Department of Music, have been selected as awardees of the Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme 2020 (HKSES) to pursue postgraduate studies at world-renowned universities with a scholarship of up to HK$300,000 per annum.
Mr Chung will study the Master of Science in Computer Science programme at the University College London in the UK. “I am glad to be an awardee of HKSES. I want to thank HKBU for giving me a great learning environment to build up my strength. I am also grateful to my mentors, Dr Cheng Yuen-Kit and Professor Albert Lee of the Department of Chemistry, who provided a lot of support and guidance to me,” he said.
Mr Lee will pursue a master degree in the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in the UK, and Miss Yan will pursue further study in the Cleveland Institute of Music in the US.
